Writer and academic lecturer Heather Ford, will lead a week long writing retreat set in the highlands of Sri Lanka. The retreat isn't tutored which means that your schedule is your own. We don't teach you how to write, or take you through exercises. Heather Ford, Writing retreat, Sri Lanka

An avid writing retreat fan, Heather knows how important it is to have the time to focus and get those words down on paper - whether for a book, poem, thesis or paper. Digital artists and people needing time away to focus on their own project are welcome too!

A hidden gem nestled in the Uva Highlands, Amba Estate guest house is set on a working, small scale organic tea farm and boasts fantastic views over the surrounding hills. Access is via a windy path up the mountain. Tranquility, remoteness and awe inspiring views make this the perfect venue for our writing retreat weeks.  The guest house has its own forest reserve and a waterfall and natural pool are just a 20 minute stroll away.
